Wharfeside Hire is looking for a practical and reliable Delivery Driver & Operations Technician to join our growing team.
This is a varied role combining event equipment deliveries with warehouse operations and maintenance projects. During our busy summer season you will be delivering equipment to venues, caterers and private clients across Yorkshire. During quieter periods you will help maintain our equipment, vehicles and warehouse facilities.
The role involves:
- Driving company vehicles. 3.5T Luton Van
- Delivering and collecting catering equipment
- Moving rolling cages, furniture and appliances
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Equipment maintenance and repairs
- Warehouse improvement projects
- Supporting stock control and operational activities
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Have good DIY and practical skills
- Be organised and dependable
- Be confident working independently and as part of a team
- Take pride in delivering excellent customer service
Core hours are Monday to Friday, however weekend work is required on a rota basis during busy periods. Overtime is also available.
This role would suit someone with experience in logistics, events, warehousing, facilities maintenance, removals, property maintenance or a similar hands-on environment.
