Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Mechanic/Workshop Manager to join and lead our friendly team to Manage our in-house fleet + external customers.

Duties
- Manage and review existing workshop practices and lead a team of mechanics/fitters
- Manage and prepare vehicles for MOT
- Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing HGV's to DVSA standards using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and machinery, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance skills and knowledge.Qualifications
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic/Workshop manager or in a similar role is preferred.
- Able to use Jaltest Diagnostic Equipment, Rolling Road Brake Tester and Shaker Plates
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to lead and interact with team members and clients.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology.
