D1 Minibus Driver
Urgently seeking experienced driver attendants to provide an excellent service to our customers and community transporting service users between schools, colleges, day centres and residential homes, assisting and encouraging passengers to regain and maintain their mobility and independence.
Many of our users have special needs so the drivers will have a calm and caring approach with the ability to assist passengers on and off vehicles and to their destination.
Our ideal candidates will be flexible and reliable with excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with parents / guardians, staff and passengers of the service.
They will also need to be tactful and professional at all times whilst maintaining user confidentiality and understanding all health and safety aspects relating to vehicle checks and passenger safety.
Drivers must hold a full D1 (101) or D drivers’ licence.
They will work 20 to 35 hours a week. Term-time only.
The morning start time can be between 06:30 and 08:30 and the afternoon start time can be between 14:15 and 15:15.
Drivers will be on different routes as required, so they will need to be flexible.
Due to the nature of the role, an enhanced DBS check will be required.

Pay: £16.02 per hour
