Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in food preparation and service. Responsibilities
- Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients for cooking and service
- Cleaning pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment to a high standard
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
- Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies within the kitchen
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Supporting chefs during busy service periods as required
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or catering establishments is desirable
- Familiarity with food hygiene standards and safety procedures is beneficial
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a hospitality setting are essential
- Prior experience in serving or hospitality roles can be an asset but is not mandatory
