Forest Hills Hotel & Country Club is a 4-star hotel and country retreat located in the heart of Frodsham, Cheshire. Our 56-bedroom property features a 130-seat restaurant, contemporary spa and leisure facilities, wedding venue, and conference facilities. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality and maintaining the highest standards of service across the entire property.
The Role
We are recruiting a dependable and professional Night Porter to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Night Porter, you will provide essential overnight guest services, ensuring the hotel remains secure, welcoming, and well-maintained throughout the night. Working 5 nights per week from 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM, you will be the key point of contact for guests during overnight hours and play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage late check-ins and early check-outs with professionalism and efficiency
* Assist with guest queries and requests in a friendly and responsive manner
* Conduct light cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel to uphold high standards
* Set up and prepare function rooms for conferences, meetings, and events
* Provide bar service when required to ensure guests receive excellent service during overnight hours
* Prepare and set up the breakfast service each morning to ensure it is ready and well-presented for guests
* Monitor and secure the hotel building throughout the night shift
* Handle guest complaints and issues with discretion and professionalism
* Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and incidents
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in hotel, hospitality, or customer service roles
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
* Physical ability to perform cleaning, lifting, and general maintenance tasks
* Experience with guest-facing systems and basic IT skills (desirable)
* Basic knowledge of bar operations (training provided if necessary)
* Reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor
* Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist with various tasks as needed
