We are excited to announce that we are looking for reliable Class 1 drivers to join our team in Gravesend depot. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to safety while transporting goods across various routes. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of driving experience at Class 1 and a solid understanding of driving regulations, tachograph rules, and WTD, with knowledge of the UK road network, understanding of vehicle maintenace and good communication skills.
This role involves driving Bulk tankers class 1 and 2, Class 1 flatbed vehicles, and Class1 and 2 Tippers. All drivers are trained to be multi skilled and cover all vehicles. The right candidate would have some background knowledge in one of the driving disaplaines but full training will be given. Candidates must have no more than 3 penalty points on their licence. A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and an ability to overcome or communicate situations.

Duties
- Operate multiple types for the safe transportation to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and discharge loads as per company policy, ensuring proper securing methods are employed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport or on-site.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role.
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record, no more than 3 points.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
