Responsibilities
- Set up CNC press brake machines by selecting appropriate tooling and adjusting machine parameters based on job specifications.
- Operate the press brake to bend sheet metal accurately, following detailed work instructions and blueprints.
- Monitor machine operation throughout production runs, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts to ensure proper dimensions and surface quality, utilizing hand tools and measurement devices.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment, including tool changes and troubleshooting mechanical issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow, ensuring timely completion of production orders.
- Maintain accurate documentation of job setups, production data, and quality checks to ensure traceability and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines or similar sheet metal fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tooling, tooling setup, and machine calibration processes.
- Familiarity with fabrication techniques such as grinding, welding, and assembly is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.
- Competence with hand tools and sheet metal handling equipment required for setup and quality checks.
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and fabrication standards to produce precise components.
- Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently during the afternoon shift schedule.
