Jewellery Design & Sales Consultant

Steensons is looking for a creative, design-minded Jewellery Sales Consultant to join our Belfast store.
This is a role for someone who combines a genuine passion for jewellery and design with excellent customer service and sales skills. You’ll be working closely with customers to help them turn ideas, memories and existing pieces of jewellery into something personal and beautifully considered.
The Role
A key part of the role will be helping customers visualise and develop bespoke jewellery, working within the distinctive Steensons design aesthetic.
You will:
- Work with customers to explore ideas for bespoke jewellery, helping them visualise how their ideas could be developed within the classic Steensons design style.
- Help customers reimagine family heirlooms and inherited jewellery, exploring contemporary ways to transform meaningful pieces into something new while retaining their sentimental value.
- Develop and communicate contemporary, Steensons-inspired design options that respond to each customer's individual style and requirements.
- Accurately interpret and translate customer ideas, specifications and design details for our CAD team, ensuring that the customer's vision is clearly communicated through to production.
- Guide customers through our carefully curated selection of independent and designer jewellery, helping them find pieces that suit their individual style and occasion.
- Deliver a warm, knowledgeable and highly personalised sales experience, building genuine relationships with our customers.
- Support the wider day-to-day running of the Belfast store.
- Maintain high standards of store presentation and housekeeping, ensuring jewellery displays are clean, beautifully arranged and presented to the Steensons standard.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong eye for design and a genuine appreciation for jewellery, craftsmanship and style.
You will ideally have:
- Strong creative and visual skills, with the ability to understand and communicate design ideas.
- Excellent listening and communication skills, particularly the ability to understand what a customer is trying to achieve and translate it into a clear design brief.
- A natural ability to help customers explore ideas and see possibilities they may not have considered.
- Confidence discussing jewellery, design and style with customers.
- Previous experience in jewellery, luxury retail, design or a similar customer-facing environment would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when communicating customer requirements to the CAD team.
- A genuine enthusiasm for providing an exceptional, personal customer experience.
- A confident and personable approach to sales, without being overly transactional.
- Pride in presentation and an appreciation of beautiful, well-curated retail environments.

£12.71 - £15 /hr depending on experience.
