Described by The Guardian as "the return to big thinking" and by Total Politics as "Europe's answer to TED," the IAI is a leading global ideas and education platform delivering debates, lectures, and courses from the world's foremost thinkers, scientists, artists, and policymakers. With an annual audience of hundreds of millions worldwide, the IAI is redefining how ideas are initiated and shared. Alongside its digital platform, the IAI is also responsible for the HowTheLightGetsIn festivals, the world's largest festivals of philosophy and music.
In this role you will lead a core team of seven, ensuring the quality and vision of our marketing output, and driving the continued remarkable growth that we have had every year for the last decade.
To achieve this, you will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to drive digital growth, how to retain and build subscriber loyalty, and how to maximise revenue with appropriate pricing. You will want to show expertise in social media, website content and design, and a detailed understanding of web analytics. You will know how to use data to sharpen campaigns, refine messaging, improve performance and spot new opportunities for growth.
The successful candidate will also be an outstanding communicator. Exceptional writing skills are essential, as is knowledge of more traditional forms of marketing including press and hard copy promotional material. It would be an advantage to have developed and launched a website and successfully driven traffic to it, in addition to improving and updating an existing site alongside digital marketing and social media campaigns.
Above all, you should be able to point to hard, demonstrable evidence of driving growth in a previous role - whether that is revenue, traffic, conversions, subscribers, following or engagement. We want someone with the ambition, imagination and proven ability to make a real impact.
The IAI is at the leading edge of ideas in philosophy, science, politics and the arts. As result all candidates will need to show a strong academic background and a minimum 2:1 degree from a top university. You will be excited to join an organisation that has established itself as a global leader in its field and have the flair, ability and commercial drive to play a key role in taking us forward to our next stage of growth.
At the IAI, we are focused on supporting your career progression and wellbeing. In joining our team, you will be eligible for our range of benefits, including our pension scheme, private healthcare insurance cashback scheme, hybrid working, Cycle to Work, frequent company socials and biannual parties, HowTheLightGetsIn festival ticket discounts, and more!
We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace, and actively support and encourage people from a variety of backgrounds, experiences and skill sets to join us and help shape what we do.
