Experienced Landscaper – Working Across All Three Teams

We're The Leicester Landscaping Company. We build high end garden transformations for domestic clients across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Rutland, and we run three construction teams to do it. This role sits across all three.
What that actually means
You won't be tied to one team, and the same two faces every day. You'll be moved to wherever you're needed most, which comes down to two things.
The first is the big builds. When one of our larger projects needs more hands to hit a deadline or get a tricky element right, you're the person we send.
The second is cover. Teams lose people to holiday, and when that happens the project can't just stop. You step in, pick up where they left off and keep it moving.
So you need to be someone who can walk onto a site part way through a build, read the drawings, work out what's been done and crack on. Some weeks you'll be with the same crew for the whole job. Others you'll move twice. If the idea of that unsettles you, this isn't your job. This is a genuinely important position in the company, and it's a progressive one. The right person doesn't stay in this seat forever.
What you'll be doing
- Laying sandstone and porcelain paving to a very high standard
- Woodwork you can be proud of: pergolas, sleeper walls, screening, decking
- Planting and turfing
- Everything else a properly rounded landscaper handles day to day
What we need from you
- Hardworking, reliable, trustworthy
- Able to work well inside a team you didn't pick
- Able to run a project with little guidance when it's needed
- Motivated and adaptable, because your week can change
- Excellent customer service skills, because you'll be in people's gardens and often in front of the client
- Full UK driving licence
The money
Salary up to £30,000 depending on experience. On top of that:
- Overtime at time and a half. The average team member earns around £8,000 a year, just under £700 a month
- Monthly bonuses. The average team member earns around £4,000 a year, just over £300 a month
Most of our landscapers take home somewhere around £42,000 all in.
