Salary: Up to £48,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join their team of staff in the Paediatrics department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Provide clinical leadership and expert oversight for all paediatric and CYP services within the hospital.

Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (CQC, NMC, national paediatric standards).

Act as the hospital’s CYP safeguarding lead, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure robust safeguarding processes.

Lead and manage the paediatric nursing team, ensuring safe staffing, skill mix, and rota management.

Lead the development of the CYP service, ensuring it evolves in line with national guidance, patient needs, and organisational strategy.

Build strong relationships with patients, families, and carers, ensuring effective communication and involvement in care decisions.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN / RN (Child)) with valid NMC registration.

Significant post-registration experience in paediatrics, including previous leadership or management roles.

Strong knowledge of paediatric nursing practice, clinical governance, and safeguarding legislation.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex situations, and ensure high-quality, safe care.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Experience in quality improvement, audit, and service development.
