Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative culinary techniques
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining quality control
- Assist in the organisation of special events or banquets, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing excellent service and engaging with guests when necessary
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience is desirable, demonstrating leadership and team management skills
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with food production processes and culinary techniques
- Experience in restaurant operations, including serving guests and managing kitchen workflows
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
- Previous experience in hospitality roles that involve leadership responsibilities will be considered an advantage
