Full-time, Remote/Hybrid – We operate on a home‑working model, but the candidate must be able to travel to London minimum once per month.
Travel for work purposes is reimbursed in full.
Salary: Competitive senior leadership salary, dependent on experience.

The Role: Head of Apprenticeships
The Head of Apprenticeships will provide overall leadership for the performance, quality, and impact of all apprenticeship programmes at KnowledgeBrief. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure that every aspect of delivery operates with clarity, consistency, and high standards.
You will directly line manage leaders across operations, quality, curriculum, compliance and client experience, providing them with clear direction, support and constructive challenge. Together, you will create alignment across the Operations team and wider organisation, ensuring that managers and their teams are supported, empowered, accountable and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for learners and employers.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Translate organisational strategy and strategic goals into clear priorities across apprenticeship delivery, quality, curriculum and operations.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across the management team and wider organisation, including the Head of Commercial and Head of People
- Provide effective oversight of performance, data, risk and operational delivery.
- Strengthen governance, transparency and accountability while empowering leaders to manage their functions.
- Ensure ongoing readiness for Ofsted inspection, funding compliance, audit, safeguarding and Prevent.
- Use data and insight to identify risks, guide decisions and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain high standards across curriculum, digital learning, assessment readiness and learner experience.
- Support operational efficiency, financial integrity and strong employer outcomes.
- Work with the Client Partnership Manager to strengthen client satisfaction, alumni experience and demonstrate programme value.
- Oversee a consistent, joined-up learner and client experience across the full programme journey, from onboarding through to completion and alumni engagement.
- Ensure operational decisions protect continuity, are clearly justified and support positive learner and client outcomes.
- Lead teams confidently through growth, policy change and sector reform
- Protect the integrity, values and reputation of KnowledgeBrief, ensuring decisions reflect our culture and strategic direction.
- Build on existing strengths, using thoughtful, proportionate improvements to make good practice even better.
This role requires a leader who can combine strategic thinking with strong operational judgement, and who can provide calm, confident direction in conditions of ambiguity or change.

Ideal Candidates Will Bring
- Senior leadership experience across apprenticeship delivery
- Proven ability to lead multiple functions (quality, curriculum, performance, compliance, client experience)
- Strong understanding of Ofsted, funding compliance, audit readiness, and sector reforms
- A track record of delivering high performance at scale, including retention, achievement, and timely completion
- Experience leading teams through change with clarity and authority
- High levels of data fluency and the ability to translate insight into decisions and priorities
- Strong operational judgement and the ability to make confident decisions in ambiguity
- Commitment to delivering apprenticeships that create measurable value for learners and employers
- Credibility with employers, partners, regulators, and senior stakeholders
- A strong academic background in leadership, management, education, or a related field
- A leadership style that balances support, challenge, and high expectations
