Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various locations. Duties
- Safely operate Class 1 Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), including flatbed trucks and other trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring secure placement on flatbeds or other vehicle types
- Deliver goods to various locations punctually while maintaining a professional attitude with clients and customers
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, including logs, delivery notes, and inspection reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during transit
- Follow all health and safety protocols to prevent accidents or damage during transportation
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver
- Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety procedures for large vehicles
- Delivery driver experience preferred, with excellent navigation skills and route planning abilities
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading cargo when necessary
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor on the road and with clients
- Flexibility to work pre-agreed varying shifts if required
