Contract Type: 12.5 hours per week (morning shift 6.15am until 8.45am)
15 hours per week (afternoon shift 3.30pm until 6.30pm)
Positions available: 1 morning and 2 afternoons (applicants can apply for both positions)
About the School
The Governors of Rice Lane Primary School and Nursery are seeking to appoint motivated, reliable cleaners to join our school. The successful candidate will join a team who have responsibility to ensure there are high standards of cleanliness throughout the school.
About the Role You will be responsible for the general cleaning of the premises in accordance with the cleaning specification and as directed by the Site Manager.
Core responsibilities and tasks:
· Carry out routine cleaning in accordance with set standards and routines as instructed by the Site Manager
· Carry out as necessary the replacement of user supplies (towels, toilet rolls etc)
· Assist as necessary with non-routine cleaning following incidents etc.
· Use appropriate cleaning equipment and machinery in a safe and economical manner.
· Identify and notify any damage to buildings and equipment and any issues that are likely to affect the work of a cleaning operative.
Personal Qualities
· Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
· Experience of industrial/public cleaning services is desirable.
· Able to read or follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials.
· Able to attain a consistent specified standard of cleaning.
· Able to organise own time to meet individual work schedules.
· Able to work positively as a member of a team.
