Our in-house sales and design teams work with customers to create bespoke play areas before our manufacturing team brings the vision to life. Each play area is then carefully delivered to site and installed to comply with the regulations.
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive International Logistics Lead to take ownership of the global movement of our products from our factory to customers and partners worldwide.
This is a hands-on role responsible for coordinating international freight, shipping, customs, deliveries, and logistics partners, ensuring goods arrive on time, cost-effectively, and with the correct documentation in place.
Working closely with the Operations team you’ll be the key point of contact for our international logistics activity and will ensure shipments are planned, booked, tracked, and delivered efficiently.
This role suits someone who:
· Has strong attention to detail, is highly organized, and able to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously
· Takes ownership and follows shipments through from booking to delivery
· Is proactive, forward thinking, and able to identifying potential delays or issues before they become problems
· Communicates clearly and confidently with all stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
· Take ownership of the end-to-end international logistics process from production or supplier collection through to final delivery, keeping all stakeholders regularly informed.
· Obtain and compare fright costs, then coordinate worldwide shipments by sea, air, road, and courier, selecting the most appropriate method based on cost, lead time, and requirements.
· Liaise with production and project managers to ensure goods are ready for collection and shipping within agreed timescales.
· Monitor shipments closely and provide accurate updates on expected arrival dates.
· Proactively identify and resolve delays, shipping issues, documentation problems, and other logistical challenges.
· Manage relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, customs agents, and other logistics partners.
· Ensure logistics activities comply with relevant customs, import, export, and company requirements and all shipping documentation is accurate.
· Review logistics processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, visibility, and reliability as the business grows.
· Support the development of logistics procedures and systems to ensure the company can scale its international supply chain effectively.
What We’re Looking for
Essential Skills & Experience
· Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in an international logistics, including shipping, sea freight, containerised shipments, air, and road freight – working with freight forwarders.
· Knowledge of international customs procedures, commodity codes, Incoterms, VAT, and import duties.
· Confident negotiating and comparing freight costs and service options.
· Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Confident using logistics, ERP, purchasing, or stock management systems and Microsoft Office.
· Availability to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to communicate with international suppliers and logistics providers across different time zones when required.
