Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Front of House staff to join our Restaurant team on a full-time or part-time basis (permanent). This role will also include Supervisor duties when required. Barista experience is a bonus, but not essential. Cafe circa is situated within the Scottish Antique and Arts centre at Abernyte, Perthshire, PH14 9SJ. The restaurant has a capacity of 130 and is a thriving part of our business. We also have our outdoor Cabin area with seating in the better weather.
We are open 7 days, so weekend work will be required on a rota basis but no evenings or split shifts. Closed 25th/26th December and 1st/2nd January.
Pay will be negotiated on experience, and your own transport will be required due to our location.
What will you do?
Ensure high levels of customer service through excellent service.
Take food and drinks orders, explain menus, and handle special requests or complaints.
Support barista duties by preparing coffee, tea and speciality beverages with precision and care.
Assist with ordering and taking delivery of bar and food stock, ensuring the stock is stored properly.
Work closely with the Restaurant management team and assist with overseeing daily floor operations.
As required run front of house shifts, ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Assist with training and managing staff, providing guidance and support.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure seamless communication between front and back of house.
Ensure all licencing, food handling procedures and Health and Safety requirements are adhered to and necessary logs kept.
As required opening and closing procedures.

Ability to stay calm and fix issues during busy peak hours.

A desire to genuinely get to know our customers, building strong relationships and going the "extra mile" when required.
