ABOUT STRATTON COURT
Stratton Court is one of the finest care homes in the Cotswolds — an 84-bed luxury setting providing residential, nursing, dementia and respite care set within beautiful grounds just outside Cirencester. With an onsite cinema, fitness room, memory gardens, restaurant and bar, it is a home residents are proud to live in and a workplace staff are proud to be part of.
We are part of Aura Care Living, a premium provider that believes exceptional care starts with exceptional people. No two residents are the same, and we look for people who understand that — people who bring warmth, patience and genuine kindness to work every single day.
THE ROLE
As a Care Assistant at Stratton Court, you will be one of the most important people in our residents' lives. You will be there in the mornings, at mealtimes, during quiet moments and at the end of the day — providing the hands-on support, companionship and dignity that makes Stratton Court feel like home rather than simply a care setting.
No previous care experience is needed. What matters most is who you are — compassionate, reliable, patient and genuinely committed to the people in your care. We will give you everything else through our fully funded induction and training programme.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support residents with personal care — washing, dressing, bathing and toileting — always maintaining privacy and dignity
- Assist with mealtimes, ensuring residents enjoy food and drink that meets their individual preferences and dietary needs
- Help residents move around safely, using appropriate moving and handling techniques
- Provide companionship — take the time to talk, listen and engage with each resident as an individual
- Support residents to participate in activities, outings and the daily life of the home
- Observe and report any changes in residents' condition, wellbeing or behaviour promptly and accurately
- Maintain clear and accurate written records in line with our digital care planning system
- Work as part of a close-knit team, supporting colleagues and communicating effectively across shifts
- Uphold Aura's values of care, choice and community in everything you do
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A good communicator — with residents, families and colleagues alike
- Calm under pressure and adaptable when the unexpected happens
- Comfortable with personal care tasks and physical aspects of the role
- Willing to work a rolling rota including days, nights and alternate weekends
- Committed to completing the Care Certificate and working towards your NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (both fully funded by us)
