Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery is recruiting for a Seasonal Shop Assistant to join our teams in Bodmin. Working every other Sunday in our Bodmin Cabin, 8:30am to 3pm, and at least one other day working out of either our Walker Lines shop or our Guildhall shop.
This is a seasonal position until September 2026, on a fixed term basis, working approximately 16 hours each week as a minimum.
Daily duties will include the following:
- Serving customers in polite and professional manner
- Organising food displays ready for sale
- Compliance with food hygiene and quality standards at all times
- Keeping customer dining areas clean
- Other duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the shop
As a person you will require the following qualities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be reliable and punctual
- Be flexible with shifts to help provide cover during holidays and sickness
- Ability to work well in a team
- Enthusiastic and hardworking
