We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Stores Person to join our dynamic warehouse team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facility, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and supporting our commitment to excellence in logistics and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive forklift operation skills, including both Counterbalance and Reach truck licences, along with proven experience in warehouse management systems and modern inventory control technologies.
- Operate Counterbalance and Reach forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise throughout the warehouse facility
- Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring goods are handled with care and placed in designated storage locations
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on all material handling equipment and report any defects or maintenance requirements immediately
- Organize warehouse space to maximise storage capacity while maintaining safe working conditions and easy access to inventory
- Handle goods of varying sizes, weights, and fragility in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Ensure all warehouse areas are kept clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times
- Utilise Warehouse Management System (WMS) to accurately record all stock movements, receipts, and dispatches in real-time
- Operate hand-held scanning devices to track inventory, verify product information, and update stock locations
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and full inventory audits as scheduled, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
- Monitor stock levels and alert management to low inventory situations or potential stock-outs
