An exciting opportunity is available for full-time Metal Recycling Operative to join our team. The role is ideal for candidates with a background in the metals industry, although this is not essential. Applicants with experience in similar industries or manufacturing who are seeking progression are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
· Operate processing equipment to size, prepare, and treat incoming materials in line with production requirements.
· Report daily throughput using internal systems.
· Carry out mechanical processing activities (including but not limited to) cutting, shearing, shredding, blasting, and plasma cutting.
· Ensure all materials are processed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.
· Set up and operate equipment safely.
· Monitor processed output to ensure it meets required specifications and production standards.
· Ensure equipment is well maintained reporting any faults or issues.
· Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
· Work as part of the production team and report directly to the Production Manager.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience operating industrial processing equipment is highly desirable.
- Experience within metals, recycling, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Good understanding of safe working practices in an industrial setting.
- Strong organisational and IT skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
