Activities Coordinator – Golden Planet Project
We are delighted to offer a unique and exciting opportunity for an imaginative and energetic Activities Coordinator to join the Golden Planet Project — a user-led, autistic-led social enterprise built around creativity, opportunity, and meaningful community participation.
This is not a standard activities role. It is a dynamic and evolving position with real scope to shape, develop, and grow both the programme and your own professional journey.
About the role
You will work alongside an autistic individual in their role as Director, supporting them within their professional responsibilities while also leading the coordination and delivery of a creative and structured programme of activities.
At the heart of this role is a strong commitment to co-production. You will work collaboratively with the people we support to design and shape activities that reflect their interests, preferences, and aspirations, ensuring the programme is genuinely led by those who access it.
Sessions will be educational, enjoyable, and carefully designed to be accessible to a diverse group of people, including individuals who are non-verbal.
You will play a key role in creating an environment where people can engage, express themselves, develop skills, and feel part of something meaningful.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Director in their day-to-day role in a respectful, enabling, and collaborative way
- Co-producing activities with individuals, ensuring their voices and choices are central
- Designing and delivering imaginative, structured, and engaging sessions
- Coordinating a varied programme of activities that promote learning, enjoyment, and participation
- Adapting communication and delivery styles to ensure accessibility for all
- Enabling community participation and building meaningful connections
- Bringing creativity, energy, and new ideas to continually evolve the project

This is a full time role, Mon-Thurs 8 hours per day and Fri 14.00 – 22:00.
Due to the location of our Head Office and requirements of the role, as this will on occasions involve transporting people, it is essential candidates have a drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
