The Opportunity
As a Testing Group Leader you will assume functional supervisory responsibility for Software Testing Analysts and Senior Software Testing Analysts and will assist in identifying training and development needs. You will oversee resource scheduling, maintain and report project status, ensure that project test deliverables are completed to agreed timelines and quality standards, and manage issues escalated by team members.
You will implement and ensure compliance with formal software testing methodologies and best practices and will identify, recommend, and implement Testing Department tool and process improvements. You will also support team members in defining testing strategies and quality risk assessments, while ensuring corporate compliance with the testing phase of the Almac Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing team compliance with the SDLC as a whole.
Additionally, you will undertake the same project-specific roles and responsibilities as a Senior Software Testing Analyst, as required.

What you need to be successful
The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in Computer Science or a related field, OR extensive relevant experience. They should have extensive experience in as change management tools such as Azure DevOps (ADOS) or TFS, and have a solid background working on web-based, interactive voice response, and client-server projects. The role requires the ability to evaluate and implement new tools and technologies, experience in testing randomisation schemas, knowledge of drug management, and familiarity with industry regulatory requirements (GxP). It is important for candidates to possess a strong technical background in software and object-oriented systems development and testing, and to be able to apply this knowledge to designing test strategies and adoption of new test tools technology. Additionally, knowledge of supply chain management is essential.
