Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. The Chef will work closely with kitchen staff to deliver exceptional meals that meet our organisation’s standards of excellence.
Working Hours
x4 days 7:30am - 3pm
x1 days 7:30am - 9pm (weekend)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve meals efficiently and professionally, providing excellent customer service when required
- Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and hygiene regulations
- Experience with meal preparation for large groups or events is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
