Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled UPVC Window & Door Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining UPVC windows and doors, composite doors, aluminium, bi-folds, patios, conservatories to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality service, troubleshoot issues efficiently, and contribute to the overall excellence of our installation and maintenance projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of construction materials and tools, making a tangible difference in clients’ homes and commercial spaces.
Duties
- Conduct on-site inspections of windows and doors to identify faults or areas needing repair.
- Perform repairs including sealing, locking mechanisms, hinges, handles, and glass replacements with precision.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to modify or fabricate components as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, alignment, weatherproofing, and operational functionality.
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repair processes.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to explain repair procedures and provide maintenance advice.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for each job.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in UPVC, aluminium, composite, patios, conservatories, window and door installation or servicing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical systems, carpentry, masonry, plastering, construction painting, fabrication, and schematics is a plus.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, fabrication equipment, and construction techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction processes including masonry work and construction painting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills for working with clients and team members alike.
