Social Worker – Children & Families Team

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting experienced Children & Families Social Workers to join a dedicated team in Dumfries & Galloway. Working within a Children and Families Social Work team, you will support children, young people, and families through assessment, safeguarding, intervention, and care planning. You will manage a varied caseload, helping to improve outcomes for vulnerable children while working collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children, young people, and families requiring social work support.
- Complete child and family assessments, including risk assessments and safeguarding enquiries.
- Undertake statutory social work duties, including visits, reports, and case recordings.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans to promote positive outcomes for children and families.
- Provide effective child protection and early intervention support.
- Work collaboratively with education, health professionals, and wider multi-agency teams.
- Support families through periods of change, crisis, and ongoing intervention.
- Ensure children’s voices, welfare, and best interests remain central to all decision-making.
Applicant Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
- Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Previous experience working within Children & Families Social Work.
- Experience managing safeguarding, child protection, looked-after children, or family support cases.
- Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
