Veterinary Receptionist – Basingstoke Sites

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join us at St Kitts Vets.
You will primarily be based at our main Basingstoke branch but will also be required to work at our other basingstoke branch when needed. This is a varied role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple sites, so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
This is a part-time position working 21.5 hours per week, including a 1 in 4 Saturday rota and a 1 in 8 Sunday rota.
There are various shift patterns, and occasional flexibility may be required to cover holidays and sickness. Further details can be discussed at the interview stage.

About the Role
As the first point of contact for many of our clients, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Your role will include a mixture of front desk and administrative duties, including:
- Greeting and supporting clients in person, by telephone and via email
- Booking appointments and managing the practice diary
- Registering new clients and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting the wider team with a variety of administrative duties
The work is varied, and no two days are the same. It is a busy environment that requires a calm and organised approach, a warm and friendly manner, the ability to multitask and excellent attention to detail.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Can demonstrate empathy and professionalism when supporting worried pet owners
- Works well under pressure and enjoys a busy, fast-paced environment
- Is confident juggling multiple tasks and priorities
- Has strong organisational and time-management skills
- Is a supportive team player with excellent communication skills
- Is computer literate and comfortable learning and using new systems
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle, as travel between clinics is required
