Electrician/Improver – Full Or Part Time

We’re a professional electrical contracting company based in Rochford, Essex with over 35 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical solutions across the commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. Our projects span public sector contracts, local authorities, schools, and large industrial companies — with services ranging from full installations to fire alarms, CCTV, and heating and ventilation systems.
Now, we’re growing — and we’re looking for a reliable, experienced improver electrician to join our team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a range of residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical specifications
- Testing and inspecting installations using multifunction testers
- Diagnosing and fixing electrical faults
- Installing sockets, switches, lighting, and distribution boards
- Working alongside other trades and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery
- Following current regulations and maintaining strict health and safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ experience as an electrician, in possession of recognised qualifications within the industry.
- Confident reading and interpreting drawings and specs
- Strong problem-solving skills and fault-finding ability
- Hands-on experience with electrical tools and testing equipment
- A proactive, professional attitude with excellent attention to detail
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Ability to reliably commute to sites throughout the South East
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time or part time as a sub contractor, permanent position
