Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Caretaker to oversee the maintenance and overall well-being of clients facilities. The Caretaker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, security and general upkeep of the premises. Ensuring the site remains well-maintained and welcoming for staff, visitors and clients.
The role includes carrying out regular inspections, identifying and reporting maintenance issues, completing basic repairs and ensuring all facilities are clean, safe and in good working condition.
The Caretaker will also assist with opening and securing the premises, monitor health and safety concerns, liaise with contractors when required, and respond promptly to any issues affecting the smooth running of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular inspections of the building, communal areas and grounds.
- Ensure the premises are clean, tidy, safe and well presented.
- Carry out basic maintenance and minor repairs where appropriate.
- Report damage, maintenance issues and health and safety concerns to management
Essential Requirements
- Previous caretaking, maintenance, cleaning or facilities experience is required.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
Desirable
- Basic DIY and maintenance skills.
- Health and Safety or First Aid training.
- Experience working in residential, commercial or communal properties.
