Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fluid Systems & Pump Engineering Specialist to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing fluid systems and pump solutions that drive our cutting-edge projects forward. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of complex fluid handling systems across various applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to system design, troubleshoot technical challenges, and develop robust solutions that meet high-performance standards.
Duties
- Develop and refine fluid system designs utilizing CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Schematics to create detailed layouts and schematics.
- Perform comprehensive root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
- Use MATLAB and Simulink to simulate fluid dynamics, control systems, and pump performance under different operational scenarios.
- Design and program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation of fluid systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing control architectures.
- Conduct mechanical analysis and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision manufacturing and assembly of components.
- Utilize LabVIEW for data acquisition, system monitoring, and automation testing of fluid systems.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop system design specifications, review schematics, and validate prototypes for performance and safety.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in fluid dynamics and pump technology.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and familiarity with schematics creation for system layouts.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for simulation, control system design, and data analysis.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently to troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming for automation tasks within fluid systems.
- Understanding of GD&T standards to ensure manufacturing precision and quality control.
- Familiarity with system design principles, including the development of technical specifications and validation protocols.
