Cicoria by renowned Michelin Starred Chef Angela Hartnett is looking for an experienced Head Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team at the Royal Ballet & Opera in Covent Garden.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves premium hospitality, exceptional guest experiences and a busy, high-quality restaurant environment, while benefiting from more manageable finishing times than many central London venues. Evening services usually finish around 11:00pm.
The Role
As Head Host/Hostess, you will:
- Lead the reception and reservations operation during service
- Welcome and engage guests with warmth, confidence and professionalism
- Manage reservations, table allocations and guest flow
- Coordinate closely with the restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth service
- Handle guest requests and special occasions with care and attention
- Support and guide junior hosts and front-of-house team members
- Maintain excellent presentation and service standards at all times
- Help create a welcoming, organised and professional atmosphere
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a Head Host/Hostess, Senior Host/Hostess, Receptionist or Reservations Supervisor in a premium restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment
- Is confident managing a busy restaurant reception and reservations system
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Is warm, personable and genuinely passionate about guest service
- Remains calm and professional under pressure
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in presentation
- Can lead by example and work effectively with the wider team
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment
