Job Overview
Aspire Medical Health is looking to recruit a reliable, motivated and conscientious Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.
This role is vital in supporting high standards of cleanliness, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and ensuring the practice meets Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
Duties
- Clean and disinfect clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with practice cleaning schedules and IPC guidance.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout consulting rooms, treatment rooms, waiting areas, reception, offices, kitchens, staff rooms, toilets and communal areas.
- Clean floors, carpets, furniture, windows (internal), fixtures and fittings.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of general, confidential and clinical waste in accordance with practice procedures.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue and hand sanitiser.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, cleaned and stored safely after use.
- Use cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH regulations and manufacturer instructions.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards or damaged equipment promptly.
- Follow all Infection Prevention and Control procedures, including colour-coded cleaning equipment and appropriate use of PPE.
- Work safely and comply with Health and Safety policies at all times.
- Support deep cleaning programmes when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working within patient areas.
- Attend mandatory training and participate in practice meetings where appropriate.
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience.
- Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to follow written cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Reliable, punctual and trustworthy.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working Hours would be 6.00 PM onwards.
