We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Self Employed Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide range of hair styling services including cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application.
- Provide personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
- Manage your own appointments, ensuring timely scheduling and efficient utilisation of your working hours.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in your workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and personalised service, encouraging repeat business.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products in the beauty industry through ongoing education and mentoring opportunities.
- Assist with store management tasks if required, including stock organisation and front desk duties to ensure smooth salon operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in hair styling, barbering, or related beauty services with a portfolio of work demonstrating your skills.
- Knowledge of store management principles is advantageous for managing your own business operations effectively.
- Skills in eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other specialised treatments are desirable.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to engage clients confidently.
- Ability to upsell services and products tactfully to enhance client experience while increasing revenue.
- Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is a plus but not essential.
- Self-motivated with organisational skills to manage appointments efficiently and independently.
- A recognised qualification in hairdressing or beauty therapy is preferred.
