Service Technician – Commercial Groundcare – Harby Depot
Russells is one of the UK’s leading dealerships for agricultural, commercial groundcare, construction and arboriculture machinery. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced commercial Groundcare Service Technician to join our team at the Harby depot. This is an excellent opportunity to work with industry-leading brands including Kubota, Toro, Amazone, Ventrac, McConnell, Timberwolf, Takeuchi and Redexim, as well as many other specialist manufacturers.
Working both from the depot and out on customer sites, you will support a wide range of customers including golf courses, sports grounds, councils, amenity contractors and arboricultural businesses. You will be joining a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where quality workmanship, attention to detail and a professional approach are essential.
Key responsibilities
· Provide an excellent level of customer care at all times.
· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs both on site and in the workshop.
· Complete servicing and repairs to a high standard, in a timely and professional manner.
· Assemble and prepare new and used machinery ready for delivery.
· Apply strong knowledge of modern commercial groundcare machinery and practices.
· Maintain accurate records and follow manufacturer warranty procedures.
Skills and experience
· A friendly, reliable and confident approach, with a mature outlook and pride in delivering high-quality work.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with customers and colleagues.
· Strong attention to detail when setting up, servicing and repairing precision machinery.
· Confident PC skills, including the ability to use diagnostic systems and Microsoft Office.
· The ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines.
· A disciplined and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
· Good customer relationship skills gained from a demanding customer-facing role.
· A full UK driving licence.
· Land based Service Engineering qualification Level 2 or 3 or similar.
· A forklift licence would be preferred, but is not essential.
· Experience in groundcare, agriculture, arboriculture, plant machinery or commercial vehicles would be advantageous.

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
