Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children in the nursery setting
- Plan, organise, and implement age-appropriate learning programmes that promote early childhood development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns to share with parents and team members
- Lead and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment with strong management practices
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities
- Ensure the nursery complies with all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare skills and knowledge
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Demonstrated management and leadership capabilities within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
- Relevant qualifications in childcare or early childhood education (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent)
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties if required
- A caring attitude combined with patience, organisation, and professionalism

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
