Foxstow | Freeland, Oxfordshire | Full-time, PAYE (Subcontractors considered)
We are looking for an experienced and highly capable cabinetry and kitchen fitter to join our team in Freeland, Oxfordshire.
We design and manufacture bespoke kitchens and fitted cabinetry in our own Oxfordshire workshop, with projects ranging from complete kitchens to wardrobes, media cabinetry, boot rooms, utility rooms, bathroom vanities and other bespoke furniture.
This is not purely a site-based fitting role. You will also spend time working alongside our cabinet makers in the workshop, helping to manufacture and prepare cabinetry before going on to install it in our clients' homes.
We're looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, has an excellent eye for detail and enjoys being part of a project from manufacture through to final installation.
Your time will be split between our Freeland workshop and installation work across Oxfordshire and the surrounding area.
The role will include:
* Installing bespoke kitchens and fitted cabinetry
* Fitting wardrobes, media cabinetry, utility rooms, boot rooms, vanity units and other bespoke furniture
* Working in our workshop to manufacture and prepare cabinetry for installation
* Setting out and fitting cabinets accurately
* Fitting doors, drawers, panels, plinths, cornices, fillers and finishing details
* Accurate scribing and on-site finishing
* Reading and working from detailed production and scheme drawings
* Making practical adjustments and solving problems on site where required
* Liaising with our designers, cabinet makers, clients and other trades
* Taking responsibility for the quality of the finished installation
Because much of our work is bespoke, every project is different. We need someone who can think practically, work accurately and understand how a piece of cabinetry should come together rather than simply follow a standard installation routine.
We're looking for an experienced kitchen fitter, cabinet maker, joiner or furniture fitter with strong practical skills and experience of high-quality residential work.
You should:
* Have substantial experience fitting kitchens, cabinetry or bespoke furniture
* Have excellent carpentry and finishing skills
* Be confident working from technical drawings
* Be accurate, methodical and comfortable solving problems
* Have very high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
* Be comfortable working both in the workshop and on site
* Take care when working in clients' homes
* Communicate well with clients, colleagues and other trades
* Be reliable, organised and able to take responsibility for your work
* Hold a full UK driving licence
Experience fitting high-end or fully bespoke cabinetry would be particularly valuable, although we're equally interested in someone with excellent practical ability and the right attitude who wants to develop further.
This is intended to be a permanent PAYE position within the Foxstow team.
For site work, we will provide a **fully equipped company van with the tools and equipment required for installation**, so you won't be expected to provide your own van or full fitting kit.
You'll work directly with the people designing and manufacturing the cabinetry you're installing, giving you the opportunity to understand each project properly before arriving on site. Most bespoke projects are dry built in the workshop prior to delivery.
We're also open to hearing from experienced self-employed fitters interested in working with Foxstow on a subcontract basis.

Our designers, cabinet makers and finishing team work closely together throughout each project, combining traditional cabinet-making skills with modern precision machinery.
We're a small, experienced team with a straightforward approach: we care about making things properly and leaving a finished job we're proud of.

Our workshop is based in **Freeland, Oxfordshire**, with the majority of our installations taking place within approximately 50 miles of the workshop.
The role will involve regular travel to client sites using the company van.
Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm, with breaks.
