Hours - Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:30

About UK Global Logistics
UK Global Logistics is a freight and logistics company providing air, sea and road transport services. We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Logistics Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day management of shipments, quotations, documentation and customer enquiries.
The role
You will work closely with customers, suppliers, carriers and colleagues to coordinate import and export shipments from quotation through to delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Obtaining and comparing freight quotations from airlines, shipping lines, hauliers and other logistics providers
- Calculating freight costs and preparing quotations for customers
- Booking air, sea and road freight
- Arranging collections and deliveries
- Monitoring shipments and providing customers with timely updates
- Preparing and checking import, export and transport documentation
- Supporting customs declarations and clearance processes using CDS
- Maintaining accurate shipment, quotation and customer records
- Following up outstanding information, documents and supplier charges
- Identifying delays or problems and escalating them promptly
- Supporting the wider operations team during busy periods
- Following relevant security, safety and dangerous-goods procedures
About you
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in freight forwarding, shipping or logistics operations
- Experience coordinating air, sea and/or road freight
- A working understanding of import and export documentation
- Experience obtaining freight rates and preparing customer quotations
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to manage competing deadlines in a busy environment
- A professional written and verbal communication style
- The right to work in the UK
