British Wax is a long-established family business, making specialised waxes for a wide range of consumer and professional uses such as candles, beauty, personal care, food, and drink coatings. Our recently-built HQ in Redhill, Surrey has parking, electric vehicle charging and is within easy walking distance of Redhill train station.
We are looking for a candidate who possesses excellent attention to detail, while maintaining a high level of productivity and is passionate about delivering great customer service.
Job Purpose
As a key member of our friendly office team, this role is responsible for providing excellent customer service by efficiently handling all aspects of the customer order and despatching process.
Hours
Full Time: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30.
Responsibilities
- Accurately processing, prioritising, and dispatching orders.
- Arrange distribution of orders. This involves high attention to detail at speed, processing information on several online systems and communicating with customers, colleagues and logistics providers.
- Respond to and filter enquiries in a warm and welcoming manner, whether by phone or email, to existing and prospective customers.
- Respond to pricing and technical queries
- Identify and communicate potential order delays, ensuring customers and internal stakeholders are kept informed.
- Produce and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy
- Record customer complaints and escalate them to the appropriate department. Provide updates and maintain accurate records.
- Manage customer returns to ensure accurate inventory records and timely resolution.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through ongoing stock control activities and supporting the annual stock take.
- Monitor and maintain the shared email inbox, ensuring enquiries are allocated appropriately and urgent matters are escalated.
- Support the Sales team administration
- General Ad-Hoc office adminstrative duties as required.
Personal Specification
- Previous experience in an office-based Despatching, Logistics or Customer Service role is critical, ideally within a Manufacturing company.
- Excellent attention to detail, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity.
- Great customer service skills.
- Excellent personal organisation skills to deal with a high volume of administrative tasks and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience using SAP or other CRM system would be an advantage
Training
- Excellent on the job training provided with a step-by-step guide. Support from other colleagues.
Holidays
31 days paid holiday per calendar year, including public holidays, rising to 36 with length of service.
Salary: £26-28,000 per annum based on a 37.5 hours per week
