MLK Cleans is looking for reliable, friendly and hard-working self-employed domestic cleaners to join our growing team across Fife.
We pride ourselves on delivering a consistently high standard of cleaning and excellent customer service. We're looking for people who genuinely care about the quality of their work, have excellent attention to detail and take pride in leaving every home looking its best.
This is a flexible self-employed role where work is offered based on your availability and preferred locations. As the business grows, there are opportunities to build up a regular client base and increase your hours.
Responsibilities
- Carry out regular weekly and fortnightly domestic cleans.
- Complete one-off, deep cleans and end of tenancy cleans when required.
- Dust, hoover, mop and sanitise all areas to a consistently high standard.
- Clean kitchens, bathrooms, living areas and bedrooms following MLK Cleans checklists.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
- Arrive on time, present yourself professionally and provide excellent customer service.
- Report any maintenance concerns or accidental damage promptly.
- Represent MLK Cleans professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous domestic cleaning experience is preferred.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with exceptionally high cleaning standards.
- Reliable, trustworthy and punctual.
- Friendly with good communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in clients' homes.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Public Liability Insurance must be arranged before your first day of work.
- A PVG certificate is desirable but not essential.
Important Information
- Regular clients are allocated set time slots, and cleaners are expected to commit to these appointments consistently.
- A starter kit will be provided to help you get started.
- As this is a self-employed role, cleaners will be responsible for purchasing and maintaining their own cleaning products and equipment after the initial starter kit.
- Work is offered based on business needs, your availability and preferred travel area.
- High standards are expected on every clean, and quality checks may be carried out.
