Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cleaning Operative with a valid Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across designated premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the smooth operation of our facilities, supporting our commitment to excellence and safety.
Duties
- Perform thorough commercial cleaning of offices, corridors, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and record completed tasks accurately, reporting any issues or damages promptly.
- Handle waste disposal responsibly, ensuring recycling protocols are followed where applicable.
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitizers, paper towels, and soap dispensers to ensure continuous availability.
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are maintained consistently clean and presentable.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid BPSS clearance to meet security requirements for the role.
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and reliability are essential for success in this role.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations is preferred.
- Monday to Friday 12 to 3pm
- Immediate start for correct candidate
