Responsibilities
- Safely operate stone saws and related fabrication machinery, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated cutting processes
- Set up and calibrate equipment using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files and SolidWorks models to ensure precise cuts
- Handle materials efficiently, utilizing hand tools, tooling, and materials handling equipment to move and position stone slabs or blocks
- Perform routine maintenance on saws and machinery to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and basic math calculations to determine cutting dimensions and angles
- Assist with assembly, welding, or finishing tasks as needed to prepare finished products for shipment or installation
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or working with heavy materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, machinery, and materials handling techniques
- Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks, or similar design programs for setup purposes
- Ability to operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated equipment control
- Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, and various tooling for fabrication tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Prior warehouse experience with an emphasis on safety, organization, and efficiency
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting
