We have a rare Head of Department opportunity available, here at the Green Dragon Hotel!
We are currently looking to recruit a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level, in the position of Head of Housekeeping.
Key duties include:
- To inspect guest rooms, including VIP, vacant, occupied and check-out rooms, to ensure that the high standards are being achieved
- Check the standards of the rooms and public areas
- Ensure sufficient supplies and equipment available to your team, to enable them to carry out their job
- Supervising Room Attendants and Floor Porters in your charge and making sure they have everything they need and that they are looked after
- Take care of any lost property
- Manage cleaning schedules to ensure consistent high levels of cleanliness are adhered to
- Assist with stock takes and control of inventories
- Monitor consumption of cleaning products and amenities to control wastage.
- Manage the recruitment, training, performance, absence and rotas for the department
Key requirements for this role are as follows:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience of supervising/managing people is essential
- Ability to inspire, motivate and get the best out of people
- Great attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Experience with applications and technology devices
