Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our independant veterinary practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the smooth running of the clinic. Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Manage appointment scheduling
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and handle client communications professionally
- Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the database
- Process payments and handle administrative tasks related to billing and invoicing
- Support veterinary staff with administrative duties to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure the reception area remains clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies
Experience
- Previous experience in a veterinary practice or pet-related environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment
- Proficiency in using computer software for scheduling, record keeping, and billing tasks
