About the Role
We're looking for a Christmas temp to join our small team during our busiest time of year. It's a great fit if you've just finished your A levels and want to earn some money before heading off travelling on your gap year, or if you've recently graduated and fancy building up some savings while you figure out what's next. No experience needed — just a good attitude and a willingness to get stuck in.
It's a fast-paced, hands-on role covering customer service, order processing and warehouse work, so you'll need to be a natural multi-tasker who's organised, methodical and happy to lend a hand wherever you're needed most.
Responsibilities
- Answering the telephone and dealing with customer queries promptly and politely
- Processing and printing customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Picking items from the warehouse to fulfil orders
- Packing orders ready for dispatch
- Helping to move and shift boxes of stock around the warehouse
- Keeping the workspace tidy and stock organised
- Supporting the wider team with general seasonal duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- Able to multi-task and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with a methodical, detail-focused approach
- Good telephone manner and clear communication skills
- Comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting and moving boxes of stock
- A team player with a can-do, willing attitude — ready to lend a hand wherever needed
- Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to work full time throughout our peak Christmas trading period
- No previous experience necessary — this is a great first role after college or uni, though any customer service, retail, or warehouse experience is a bonus
- Own transport essential, as you'll need to commute to Masham daily and the site isn't easily reached by public transport
Role Details
- Contract: Temporary, fixed-term, August – January (estimated)
- Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
- Pay: £11–£13 per hour (depending on age)
- Location: Unit 5, Masham Business Park, Masham, HG4 4FA
