Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team in providing exceptional care within assisted living and nursing home environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia care, and caregiving, with a strong focus on promoting residents' wellbeing. Duties
- Develop personalised wellbeing programmes tailored to individual residents’ needs, preferences, and medical conditions.
- Support residents with daily activities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Assist with dementia and Alzheimer's care, implementing specialised strategies to enhance residents’ comfort and safety.
- Coordinate activities that promote mental stimulation, social interaction, and overall wellness within the care home environment.
- Monitor residents’ progress and adjust wellbeing initiatives accordingly, maintaining detailed records of interventions and outcomes.
- Provide emotional support to residents experiencing distress or behavioural challenges related to cognitive impairments.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff alike.
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of senior care principles, including dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques.
- Compassionate caregiving approach with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to organise activities that stimulate mental and physical wellbeing while respecting individual preferences.
- Empathy, patience, and resilience are essential qualities for supporting vulnerable adults through their daily routines.
- Organised with the ability to assess needs accurately and implement appropriate wellbeing strategies.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards within care environments is advantageous.
