Green Fleet Garage LTD is an established automotive garage in Coventry providing MOT testing, servicing, vehicle repairs and other automotive services.
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
As an MOT Tester, your duties will include:
- Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards and regulations.
- Accurately identifying and recording vehicle defects and MOT results.
- Ensuring all MOT testing procedures are completed correctly and safely.
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and general mechanical repairs where required.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Completing servicing, maintenance and repair work.
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
- Ensuring the MOT testing bay, workshop and equipment are kept safe and organised.
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers.
- Working closely with other technicians and management.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements
The successful candidate must:
- Be a DVSA-approved MOT Tester with current MOT testing status.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Have good knowledge of current DVSA MOT testing standards.
- Have previous experience working within a garage or automotive workshop.
- Have strong vehicle inspection and diagnostic skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be reliable, punctual and professional.
- Have good attention to detail.
Experience with Class 4 and Class 7 MOT testing would be highly desirable. Experience with Class 5 would also be an advantage.
Desirable
- Level 2/Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- Experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic.
- Diagnostic experience.
- Experience carrying out servicing, brakes, suspension, exhausts and general vehicle repairs.
- Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT testing experience.
