Job Summary
As a Casual Youth Worker with Girvan Youth Trust you will assist in the delivery of our varied youth work programme for local young people aged 12 to 18 years. Our Youth Work Programme includes Holiday Programmes, Detached Youth Work, Youth Clubs and work with Schools Programme. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, positive and engaging. You should have a genuine interest in working with young people, excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with young people.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of Girvan Youth Trust's Youth Work Programme as and when required
- Work with the wider staff team to plan and deliver, age and stage appropriate, youth work sessions to meet the needs and wants of local young people
- Signpost young people to additional services as appropriate
- Participate in training relevant to your role i.e. Ready for Youth Work, Child Protection, First Aid.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties deemed necessary by Girvan Youth Trust’s Management Team
- Ensure all Girvan Youth Trust working policies and practices are adhered to e.g. Safeguarding, Confidentiality etc. Additional Post Conditions
- Must be willing to work regular daytimes, evenings and weekends where required
- Successful candidate will be required to complete a PVG Check
Pay: £14.17 per hour
