We are seeking a dedicated and professional Sports Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. Responsibilities
- Provide customised sports massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, focusing on injury prevention, recovery, and performance enhancement.
- Assess clients’ physical condition and discuss their specific goals or concerns before treatment.
- Utilise deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, and other specialised massage techniques to alleviate muscle tension and improve mobility.
- Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress, and recommendations for ongoing care.
- Educate clients on stretching exercises, postural corrections, and self-care practices to support their athletic goals.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all clients in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in sports therapy and continuously develop professional skills through training and workshops.
Experience
- Previous experience in sports massage therapy or related fields
- Knowledge of human anatomy is essential to effectively target muscle groups and address specific issues.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen attentively to clients’ needs and provide clear advice.
- A professional attitude with a commitment to client confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Certification in sports massage therapy or equivalent qualification.
