About the Role
Green Valley Care is looking for an experienced, motivated and people-focused Service Delivery & Training Manager to join our team.
This is a varied and important role combining service delivery, quality assurance, staff training and development, compliance and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that Green Valley Care continues to provide safe, high-quality, person-centred care and support, while ensuring that our staff have the knowledge, skills, training and competence required to deliver excellent services.
The role will work closely with Clients, Staff, Managers, Directors, families and other professionals and will provide an important link between service quality and staff development.
Please note the starting salary is negotiable, according to relevant experience, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery, Quality & Compliance
- Support the effective day-to-day delivery of Green Valley Care services and contribute to maintaining high standards of care, support and customer service.
- Monitor the quality and effectiveness of services and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support Managers in addressing service delivery issues and developing appropriate improvement actions.
- Contribute to service reviews, improvement plans and the continuous improvement of the organisation.
- Contribute to Green Valley Care’s domiciliary and contractual compliance requirements.
- Undertake or support audits of service delivery, staff records, training records, care documentation and other relevant areas.
- Identify areas of non-compliance or improvement and work with Managers to address these.
- Monitor and follow up actions arising from audits, inspections, incidents, complaints and other quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to the preparation for inspections and regulatory reviews.
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of Company policies, procedures and guidance.
- Ensure relevant changes to legislation, regulation, guidance and best practice are reflected in training, procedures and service delivery.
- Monitor relevant service delivery, quality, staffing, training and compliance performance indicators and provide reports to the General Manager and Directors.
Training, Development & Staff Competence
- Take the lead in coordinating and managing the training and development requirements of Green Valley Care staff.
- Develop, deliver and coordinate appropriate in-house and external training programmes.
- Ensure all Staff receive appropriate training to meet the personal care and support needs of Clients.
- Identify gaps in staff knowledge, skills and competence and develop appropriate training and development interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and competency records.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of training and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure Staff are appropriately trained and competent to undertake the activities for which they are employed and responsible.
- Support staff supervision, appraisal and ongoing professional development.
- Support Managers in addressing competency or performance concerns through appropriate training, supervision and development.
- Ensure learning from incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, audits and service reviews is incorporated into staff training and development.
- Contribute to staff performance management and support Managers with disciplinary matters, where appropriate.
- Promote a positive learning, development and professional practice culture throughout Green Valley Care.
External Training & Service Development
- Develop Green Valley Care’s external training services and identify opportunities to provide training to external organisations and professionals.
- Develop and maintain high-quality training programmes, materials and resources.
- Ensure external training is delivered to an appropriate professional and regulatory standard.
- Obtain and respond to feedback from external training participants and use this to continually improve the training offer.
- Contribute to the operational and financial performance of the external training service.
- Identify opportunities for service improvement and development and contribute to the wider strategic objectives of Green Valley Care.
General Responsibilities
- Participate in the “On Call” system and provide support during staffing issues, Client emergencies and other operational situations as required.
- Work occasional evenings and weekends where required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with data protection requirements.
- Maintain appropriate professional conduct and presentation in accordance with Company policies and procedures and relevant Social Care Wales practice guidance.
- Work collaboratively with Managers and Directors to ensure consistency in service standards, staff development and operational practice.
- Ensure all relevant records, documentation and administrative requirements are maintained accurately and within required timescales.
- Identify personal training and development needs relevant to the role and satisfactorily complete any training required.
- Undertake duties at Green Valley Care premises, locations where care is provided and any other location reasonably required in connection with the role.
- Undertake any other duties that are reasonably required and consistent with the responsibilities and level of the role.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in a service delivery, care management, training, quality assurance or similar role.
- Passionate about delivering high standards of care and support.
- Confident in delivering training and developing staff.
- Able to identify training and development needs and translate these into practical solutions.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
- Confident working with Managers, Staff, Clients, families and external professionals.
- Able to analyse information, identify areas for improvement and take appropriate action.
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation, regulation and good practice within social care.
- Committed to safeguarding, Health and Safety, confidentiality and professional standards.
- A strong communicator who can build positive working relationships at all levels.
- Flexible and willing to respond to operational requirements, including occasional evenings, weekends and participation in the “On Call” system.
Pay: From £35,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Pontypool NP4 9NF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Health and Social Care: 5 years (required)
- Training and Development : 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Full UK Driving License (required)
- Social Care Wales registration (preferred)
- QCF Level 4/5 in health and social care (required)
