We're looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our Inspection & Testing team, carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), emergency lighting inspections and minor remedial works across a wide range of commercial and public sector properties.

The role would be suited to an experienced Inspection & Testing electrician who wants to be part of a growing specialist electrical compliance business. You'll be supported by an experienced management team, work with modern testing equipment and have opportunities to develop your career as L123 continues to grow.
About the Role
This is predominantly a Monday to Friday daytime position with early starts. We recognise that flexibility matters, so where contract requirements allow, many of our engineers choose to work their weekly hours over four longer days instead of five.
You'll work independently across a variety of customer sites, supported by experienced Contract Managers, Qualified Supervisors and our Operations Team.
The role includes:
- Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) to BS 7671
- Emergency Lighting inspection and testing
- Diagnosing electrical defects and recommending practical remedial solutions.
- Completing minor remedial works where required, sometimes at time of testing
- Producing accurate digital certification using our inspection software 'Verse' certification platform, with every report supported by an inbuilt technical verification process to help ensure consistent, high-quality reporting.
- Providing excellent customer service whilst working safely and professionally
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship across every site
The position requires travel on a daily basis and overnight stays for sites further afield (typically up to 50% staying away). Travel, overnights and expenses will be paid.
Some contracts also include Fire Alarm servicing. Full training will be provided where required.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Qualified Electrician (C&G Level 3)
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Experience carrying out commercial EICRs
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A professional, positive approach to health and safety

Pay: £48,000.00-£58,000.00 per year
